North Street garage, Romford

The central bus garage in Romford was built in the fifties and surprisingly is still in use today. I recently picked up a cheap EFE Green Line RF which I've reblinded to represent the 724 express route which I recall running through Romford in the seventies. Typical of the red buses around then is the SMS , a Britbus model. The bus garage card model kit is in 1/76 scale from Kingsway Models.

Looks great John, something about the 1950's buildings.

Thank you. The building is very characteristic of postwar LT architecture. Some years back it seemed that it would be replaced, but happily still stands remaining in use.
