London Fire Brigade(1960's)on exercise.

This picture shows the London Fire Brigade in attendance at a major exercise with their appliances in the City of London around about 1960.The appliances in attendance are 2 1950's AEC/Merryweather pumps, and a 1930's Leyland/Metz TL.These models are from the Oxford Diecast range of emergency vehicles in 1.76 scale.
The diarama shows civilian figures by a company called Dapol in 1.76 scale, and the new sets of firemen in the 1.76 scale by FBM(Fire Brigade Models). There are 2 sets of these typical 1950's/1960's period firemen, one is a pump crew set,the other being known as a ladder set.
There are 8 figures in each set of firemen in different positions, but some are the same in both sets, well worth adding to your collection though.
I've just finished painting the WW11 set of NFS figures by FBM,so a picture will follow soon.

Fantastic diorama Pete, labour of love.
How much do the fire crews cost ?

Added by Dave Hallowell on 18 February 2011.
Dave, I received my sets from Paul when he first received them from the manufacturers and he charged me £15.00 a set unpainted.I thought that was a little expensive but when I spoke to Paul he said they'd actually be around £20/£22 a set unpainted. If you want to receive them already painted you'll be expected to part with something like £32.00.
They must be ready now for purchasing, but are still not displayed on his website yet so phone Paul (fire brigade models) for more details.
To Note:-I've just received pictures from Paul of the latest set of 1.76 scale figures coming soon, these are a set of present day firefighters. No other details at this time.Pete.
